Friday Knights - Fridays at 6:15pm & 8:30pm - Open Friday Knights is a casual fun league for all levels of curlers. The league will put its emphasis on great social interaction and good play, as we kick back and celebrate the end of the week in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. There will not be team standings and there will not be playdowns at the end. We will instead track each individual Knight (every, single curler) and each of the Realms (groups of curlers). They will all have a Reputation (Win/loss record). Everyone will be put into one of two realms (Red or Blue). At the end of the season we will do something with Realm and Individual Reputations! Who is to say what a Good or Bad Reputation could bring! Don’t worry, I’m not going all Fantasy on you all. Bottom line is that each week we will take anyone that can play, create teams for the evening and play. There will be some variations on how we play each week to generate some excitement. Here is how it works. There are two draws at the usual times, 6:15 and 8:30. The goal is to fill up as many sheets as possible in each draw. There will a Google worksheet that has a tab for each week of curling. Go on to the worksheet and if you know you can play on a particular night, sign up for a time that works for you. The worksheet is just there to give everyone a sense of how many people would be there for each draw. Take a look when you sign up for a particular week and see if we can get both draws filled up. We will adjust as we need to get everyone curling each draw. That could mean on any given week you could be playing doubles, three to a team, or anything. The goal is to have fun and make it work. Contact Jimmy Figiel if you have any questions. May your stones always Glide true!
