Learn2Curl, Group and Corporate Events, & Junior Curling
Thank you for your interest in Curling!
We love the sport and community of curling. There are a variety of ways you can get curling as outlined below. Our Club is open 7 days a week during the October - April curling season. Vistors are welcome to watch our league games, learn more about the sport of curling, and find out about our next Learn2Curl scheduled event.
We hope to see you soon!
Learn2Curl Classes
Our Learn2Curl classes ares a great introduction to the sport, and a wonderful opportunity to try a Winter Olympic event. No prior experience is required. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Classes include both off and on-ice instruction and an abreviated two-end game followed by "broomstacking" with drinks and snacks. Our classes run on select weekends during the curling season.
Private Group and Corporate Events
Our club is generally available for group outings, team building, and corporate events on weekday afternoons. An outing is generally about three hours long and includes use of our facility as well as curling instruction from certified club members. Outings can be scheduled during our curling season from October - April.
Junior Curling
The Chicago Curling Club supports teaching the great sport of curling to young people and encourages their interest through our sister not-for-profit, Second City Curling. Our programs are designed for youth ages 10-18. Our members teach participants the fundementals of curling through skill building and game play with a focus on safety and fun. Equipment (including brooms, stabilizers and sliders) is provided.
Where can I watch or learn about curling?
The higher profile of curling in the recent Winter Olympics, including the remarkable gold medal victory by the USA men's team in 2018, has stimulated lots of local interest in our sport, as did the USCA Mixed Curling Nationals held at the Chicago Curling Club in February 2010 and the Men's Women's Club Nationals held at Exmoor Curling Club in 2013. We are proud to announce Chicago Curling Club has a Youtube Channel where you can watch live and previously recorded curling games played at our club.
Other Illinois curling clubs include:
- Exmoor Curling Club located at the Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park, IL
- Windy City Curling Club is a newer club with dedicated ice, located in Villa Park, IL
- Waltham Curling Club is the oldest curling club in Illinois, dating back to 1884, located in Triumph, IL
